The Scottish play in a Scottish Castle, Macbeth kicks off the On The Rocks Festival 2012 with two special performances in St Andrews Castle on Saturday and Sunday night.

Siobhan Cannon-Brownlie, director of King Lear in last year's On The Rocks, returns with an al fresco twist on one of Shakespeare's most well-known plays. In their interview with STAR Reporter Richard Browne, the director and some of the cast members are keen to convey the excitement and energy that this unusual space adds to the performance.

According to Caroline, who plays Lady Macbeth; "The fact that you are acting in an elemental environment that is invoked so many times throughout the play is just brilliant".

Tickets, and the full line-up of everything in On The Rocks, are available at www.ontherocksfestival.com.
