STAR: St Andrews Radio is an internet radio station based in Fife, Scotland. The station was founded in 2005, and is run entirely by volunteer students of the University of St Andrews. We are funded by the Students’ Association, and host regular live music events. You can read more about STAR’s history on the (st)archive.

You can apply for your show at the beginning of each semester – keep an eye on our socials for applications, we’ll also post a link on our website. Each show has an hour slot once a week.

Our schedule usually covers every hour the building is open, so there’s not much room for one-off recordings during term time. However, we do have external recording equipment that anyone can borrow. We’ll even show you how to use it! Contact [email protected] for more info.

We’re always looking for new pieces to publish, and it can be about anything you like! Apply here, Editor in Chief Lauren Kosky will get back to you ASAP!

Yes! We need people to film, edit, interview, and act. No experience is necessary, and we can provide equipment. Get in touch with Will either through instagram, email, or apply for committee here!

Yes! We need people to help record/broadcast events around St Andrews. No experience is needed, as we can provide training and all equipment. Contact our tech team either on instagram, or email!

If you’re interested in maintaining the website or studio equipment, you can apply to join the STAR committee in April, or in September for assistant positions. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates.

Hearing Aid is a music magazine funded by STAR since 2013, producing two print issues every year. They’re always looking for people to interview musicians, review albums and gigs, and design each print issue. Contact [email protected] or send them a dm on Instagram for more info

Yes… We often need people to create posters for our live music events, and design new merch. Our Head of Design, Oscar, has a VERY busy schedule of playing music, being American, and eating peanut butter. If you want to help him, email [email protected].
